Digital Works Inc will not intentionally replicate content that is rated "X" or "Hard R". In addition, audio CDs or DVDs containing vulgar lyrics, or that are classified under the "Parental Advisory" status, will not be replicated.
We do our very best to screen not only our clients but the content that is received second and third party on their behalf. We service several religious and special interest organizations that depend on us to up hold our corporate ethical philosophy, and we will not jeopardize that trust under any circumstances.
As you well know, Synchronicity Mastering is our mastering house of choice and they too have a very strict policy when it comes to questionable content. Synchronicity screens all incoming content through a national database that not only identifies ownership and licensing rights, but also outlines ratings.
In efforts to further police our content policy, all replicated projects are tested for industry player compatibility. In short, every project we manufacture is booted up in 12 players of various brands, thus allowing the technician a snap shot of what’s enclosed. If the technical staff discovers questionable content, the product is removed from the production floor and quarantined. The discs and/or packaging components remain in this state until upper management inspects the project and therefore deems it acceptable or non-compliant. In the case of non-conformant product, the product and any associated tooling is destroyed. The remaining intellectual property is returned to its owner. If you have any further questions, please contact me directly at 702-580-0289, it will be my pleasure to answer your questions.
Sincerely,
Bill Diaz
